Thanks for posting this chapter.  Your voice is so natural in this and in &quot;The Mattress Wars&quot;.  Both of my daughters are at or approaching mid-forty.  I think they&#039;d really enjoy your book when it comes out.  I mentioned in an earlier note to you that one of my daughters lived in SF for several years.  She&#039;ll relate to the locale well.  They&#039;re both married, each have two kids (no more) and have probably shared many of your thoughts.  

Don&#039;t forget to read something by Wallace Stegner.  

Glad to see (Face Book) that you also read some Virginia Woolf.  Her essay, &quot;A Room of One&#039;s Own&quot; is classic.  And I&#039;m sure you&#039;ve read Hours, if you like Woolf, or maybe seen the film.  Both good.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter.  It does make you want to read more.
