Although I am a tad older than you with 4 kids (ranging in age 17-24), I can relate to all of those moments you describe. As I have gotten older I try to err on the side of joy more than on the side of fear - but it is a tough battle. All moments are precious. I can tell you that as the kids grow and flourish and you have done your job parenting, as you and your dear husband are doing, the moments of joy increase.
